WATCH: Phazon earbuds pitch Dragons’ Den Wednesday
Montreal’s Phazon earbuds will pitch CBC’s Dragons’ Den next week on Wednesday November 23rd. Phazon calls its earbuds “the world’s first one-size-fits-all, truly wireless earbuds guaranteed not to fall out.”
CEO Chris Houle will enter the Dragons’ Den on Wednesday November 23rd at 8:00 pm to pitch his magical music-providers. While we don’t get to see too much action from the video below, Houle does take us on a spin around CBC’s notable Studio 40 in Toronto.
Phazon says its earbuds were conceptualized in a moment of frustration. Houle was annoyed while working out at the gym and became his earbuds kept falling out and detaching from his device. He saw that that no earbuds met his needs so he built a team and began researching.
Through Indiegogo and word of mouth Houle has now raised more than $1.5 million.
Last time we wrote about the startup in May it was about Phazon winning Fundica’s roadshow stop in Montreal. Phazon received three-months of office space in San Francisco, round trip airfare to pitch to investors in the Valley, a cloud hosting package from CANARIE & SoftLayer, one year free Quickbooks online from Intuit and other prizes.
Sounds like the company has kept up the momentum since then.
Their episode of Dragons’ Den will air on CBC.
