Vanilla Forums adds Hootsuite integration for an integrated social support suite

Community managers are constantly connected to multiple social media channels, including community forums. A new integration will allow them to monitor discussions from their Vanilla communities within their Hootsuite dashboard.

Vanilla Forums, a Montreal company that provides cloud-based community software, has announced the launch of its new app for Hootsuite.

Started in 2009 as an open-source project, Vanilla now powers 3 million brand and consumer interactions every year. The integration will bring together the most widely used social media management platform with Vanilla’s cloud-based community software to create a powerful integrated social support suite.

“Hootsuite is recognized as the leader in social media management by top industry analysts,” said Luc Vezina, CEO at Vanilla Forums. “This integration with Hootsuite provides a complete social customer service solution that covers both social media and branded communities. Organizations of all sizes can now choose best-in-class solutions that work together and not be beholden to expensive broad but thin all-in-one social customer service offerings.”

Built for brands with lean community management and social media teams, the app allows customers of both Hootsuite and Vanilla Forums to gain major efficiencies.

“Online communities are an important channel for connecting businesses with their customers, and we are thrilled to work with Vanilla Forums for a best-in-class addition to our ecosystem. This integration will help organizations simplify their monitoring and engagement across community forums and social channels,” said Karan Mavai, senior director, Platform and Ecosystem at Hootsuite.

The integration will allow customers to engage with the community, assign posts to team members, and create additional category or keyword-based streams directly in the Hootsuite dashboard.
