Techstars Montreal AI is unveiling its newest cohort of companies. This time around 10 companies will join the mentor-driven program. One of the companies is based on Montreal. The other companies from Toronto (2), Saint John, NB (1) France (3), Portugal (1) and India (1).

This year’s group of companies was selected around three core themes, according to Techstars:

1. Core AI: AI is at the core of the product,
2. Democratization of AI: The product allows non-experts to use & apply AI
3. AI toolkit/DevOps: A product that addresses some of the unique challenges faced
when running AI systems

Techstars said in a release that the prime factor in selecting companies is the entrepreneur.

“Successful businesses are built on top of strong leaders that can attract and grow a diverse and healthy team. That’s why we teamed up with Tilt to weave a comprehensive Conscious Leadership training and coaching into the 13 weeks of this year’s program.”

The accelerator program took six months to select the companies accepted to this cohort. The program’s Demo Day comes in December.
