Startupfest unveils 2019 premium fests
The Founding Workshop: New to Startupfest this year, this workshop takes aspiring founders from their initial problem/solution mindset to working on a business model that can generate sustainable, repeatable growth. Over two days, participants will hear from globally renowned authors and entrepreneurs, then participate in an “Office Hours” set of meetings with prominent accelerator operators. Apply now! |
VentureFest:Institutional investors come together in this invite-only series of sessions focused on funding the best early-stage startups, and working to provide the “dry powder” needed to accelerate growth when investments are ready to scale. Participants are fund managers, managing partners, family office managers, and institutional investors, onsite to connect with their peers and learn about the latest developments in venture capital. Apply now! |
AcceleratorFest: Accelerators and incubators are one of the driving forces of the modern innovation ecosystem. Revamped for 2019, this event is where operators compare notes, sharing hard-won lessons on what works and what doesn’t. Apply now! |
Startupfest Version Français: Startupfest is a bilingual event, run in Montreal. The VF stage offers talks in French, by French-speaking entrepreneurs, offering a unique perspective on global markets and French startup culture. |
Women in Tech Bootcamp: Presented by BDC Capital, this crowd favourite returns to the festival this summer. Focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities that female founders face—from culture to fundraising to leadership—an exceptional lineup of proven entrepreneurs leads a series of talks and discussions that equip participants to become tomorrow’s greatest founders. Apply now! Startupfest is also introducing the “Women in Tech $100,000 Invesment Prize.” Each year, Startupfest has a number of investment prizes. Now, $100,000 more dollars will be available to a female-led startup in the form of a convertible note. This is open to any female-led startup in attendance, and it’s in addition to the Startupfest $100,000 investment prize. The prizes are awarded by a panel of judges based on pitches and discussions onsite at Startupfest. That means a female founder could walk away with $200,000 in investment, or that two separate $100,000 prizes could be awarded to two founders. Founder can pitch for this prize in the Tent Village July 11th and 12th. |
HackerFest: This Premium Event is an outdoor, multi-topic, innovation marathon for developers, designers, inventors and all-around creators. |
ArtupFest: This year, we’re bringing back ArtupFest, as an experience throughout Startupfest, showcasing different interactive installations. |
