PHOTOS: Urban innovators hit Montreal for New Cities Summit
Hundreds of of decision-makers, mayors, entrepreneurs, innovators and media flocked upon Montreal’s Hyatt Regency Hotel in Place Des Arts Tuesday and Wednesday for the New Cities Summit 2016.
The New Cities Summit is the “leading global event on urban innovation,” and this year Montreal is playing host-city. The summit convenes leading decision-makers, mayors, CEOs, entrepreneurs, thinkers, artists and innovators to discuss and promote new solutions and positive urban change. Montreal was selected to host the Summit because it’s a “global leader in the domain of urban innovation and entrepreneurship.”
For startup junkies, the Global Urban Innovators part of show selects ten of the “most innovative startups” around the world to give six-minute pitches, while also participating in panel discussions, workshops and roundtables.
