InnoCité MTL announces partnership with Ville de Brossard

InnoCité MTL has announced a two year agreement with Ville de Brossard to expand the accelerator’s network of mentors and put the South Shore at the forefront of innovation in smart city solutions.

The Montreal smart city startup accelerator is the first of its kind in Canada and brings together the best entrepreneurs who are committed to smart city development. Past participants include MLDB.ai, City Parking, Give-A-Seat and We Grab It.

“It is with great pride that we announce this agreement with InnoCité Mtl,” said Paul Leduc, mayor of Brossard. “It demonstrates our firm determination to position Brossard as a leader in intelligent cities in Quebec. This collaboration opens doors to entrepreneurs who want to act on the development of cities by proposing innovative solutions to improve the quality of life of the citizens.”

“This new partnership is an important step in the right direction for InnoCité MTL,” Béatrice Couture of InnoCité MTL told MTLinTECH. “It is also an opportunity for Brossard and Montreal to collaborate together on projects. We hope to add as many cities as possible over the coming year in order to have a bigger impact on citizen quality of life.”

Alexandre Plante, the city councillor who initiated the partnership, told MTLinTECH: “We are very proud to become partners of Innocité Mtl. Once again, it demonstrates that Brossard is a forward-looking city. With this partnership agreement, we show our commitment to the startup community. Startups have the creativity, the drive and the nimbleness to help cities innovate. Innovation means that we can improve the quality of life for our citizens at a better value.”

InnoCité MTL is currently recruiting for their next cohort. The deadline to apply is February 10th.
