From the Valley to Montreal
Ever heard of Evisort? It’s a name you’re going to be hearing more often in and around Montreal.
This Silicon Valley based company is expanding to La Belle Province, and looking to hire. Sources tell MTLinTech that up to 10 Software Engineers will be hired as a start. Elie Wahnoun, a former Montrealer and the company’s Chief of Staff, explained that given their needs for AI talent, expanding to our city was a no brainer.
“Being an AI technology company first, and Montreal becoming the AI hub of North America, it only made sense we start laying roots to fuel our growth and product goals for the future, as early as possible.”
Evisort plans to open their first Montreal office in one of the city’s many coworking spaces and then depending on the needs of their employees they expect to go out and find their own private office space that is suited to the needs of the staff they hire.
“We believe this will be a huge opportunity for any candidate who wants to join an early stage company that is backed by some of the best VC firms, including Microsoft’s M12, Vertex Ventures, Serra Ventures, Amity venture and Village global” said Wahnoun.
For those unfamiliar, Evisort uses AI to help businesses categorize, search, and act on electronic documents of any type. Their product understands meaning and context in legal language, eliminating the need for manual data entry and parsing of contracts or other business documents.
Since launching its AI platform in late 2018, the company has landed more than 100 enterprise customers, including Brooks Brothers, Cox Automotive, Fujitsu, TravelZoo and Sweetgreen. These customers are using the platform to manage more than $40 billion in contracts.
