The Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed startup accelerator, along with Shopify are together announcing a partnership to showcase leading-edge technologies from the Founder Institute Montreal 2019 portfolio.

The Montreal Demo Day will showcase innovative Canadian Tech companies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Software, Retail and Logistics Technologies, and Sustainable Technologies - featuring some of Montreal’s most promising new companies.

As part of the program, early-stage entrepreneurs and teams build their business alongside a critical support network of local startup experts that share equity in their success, and through a structured and challenging business-building process that has helped alumni raise over $900M in financing to fuel the hyper growth of their businesses.

Sergio A. Escobar, Managing Director of the Montreal Founder Institute and CEO & Partner at BCF Ventures, has seen major shifts developing in the innovation ecosystem since the Founder Institute expanded to Montreal 5 years ago. “From 2014 to date, the Montreal ecosystem has greatly benefited from the added-value of The Founder Institute’s global network and unique methodology. In addition to this event, the Founder Institute and Loyal VC will join forces to support the 2019 graduates from Founder Institute Montreal with a $10,000 equity funding per startup for up to 3 promising startups from the Demo Day. This investment award will be based on successful due diligence and acceptance of terms by the investor and the entrepreneur.
