Ex-Google exec joins Payment Rails as CRO

Payment Rails announced yesterday that Justin Reid has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer.

Reid has spent the past twelve years in a variety of roles in the technology sector, and previously worked at Google, where he was responsible for the financial services practice of Google’s cloud enterprise product in Canada. He has also served as Client Director at SAS Institute, where he managed client partnerships with two of Canada’s largest banks, in addition to leading a cross-functional team in market development.

“Justin shares our passion for helping businesses scale and succeed on a global level,” Tim Nixon, Co-founder and CEO of Payment Rails told MTLinTECH. “He is a proven growth leader within the B2B cloud enterprise segment and has a unique ability to form win/win partnerships at scale. His vision for how businesses will leverage technology in the future to enable superior services to their users, is exactly what Payment Rails needs as the company enters its next chapter of expanded product innovation and growth.”

Reid will be pitching on behalf of Payment Rails as a finalist at the 2nd Annual Fintech Cup hosted at The Payments Canada Summit this week in Toronto.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Payment Rails. I was attracted to this company and its vision for its already existing leadership team with years in the payments industry, in addition to the strong engagement with customers and partners that positions them for continued success. Furthermore, the ability to be a cross-border payments category leader with exponential growth potential truly made this decision an easy one,” said Justin Reid, CRO.

Reid holds an MBA from The Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. In addition to assuming his role as the Chief Revenue Officer he will also be a Member of the Board of Directors.
